Subjects for JEE Main Exam

This exam has three papers instead of two. I.e.

  • Paper 1 
  • Paper 2A 
  • Paper 2B
B.Arch/ B.Planning Courses
1. Physics
2. Language Subject
3. Mathematics (Compulsory Subject)
4. Any of the following: Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, Technical Vocational Subject
5. Any Optional subject

[Note: Paper 1 is for B.E. or B. Tech. courses in NITs, IIITs, DTU, and other GFTIs, Paper 2A is for B. Arch. course, and Paper 2B is B. Planning courses offered by these institutes.] Paper 1 consists of  Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Paper 2A has Mathematics, Aptitude, and Drawing Tests, and Paper 2B  consists of Mathematics, Aptitude and Planning-based questions. You can attempt the exam in one or both sessions.  The total number of questions is 90, and you have to attempt a total of 75 questions. Overall, the total mark is 300.

During the JEE exam time you can carry only the following are given below:

  • Admit Card (a clear printable on A4 size paper) duly filled with self-declaration (undertaking) downloaded from the NTA website.
  •  simple transparent ballpoint pen.
  • Additional photocopies are to be pasted on the attendance sheet.
  • Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml).
  • Personal transparent water bottle.
  • Sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) if the candidate is diabetic.
